How did you become interested in health and wellness? Dr Lucille: That is a really interesting question. I grew up as the daughter of 2 pharmacists. Literally, when I was a young child, the approach that my parents took to my health care was, “Here, take this.” If something was going on on the outside of me, it was the branded pharmaceutical belonging to the company where my father was climbing the corporate ladder—their Neosporin. If something was going on on the inside of me, it was their branded version of ibuprofen. Even at that young age, I was questioning, “Well, what’s it going to do for me? Is there anything else that I could do?” I had all these questions and I think I drove my parents crazy.
